Folding cartons
A tuck box is made from printed folding card. It is useful for a compact card deck when low weight and a small packed size matter. Its dimensions must follow the complete deck, including any instructions.
Rigid lid-and-base boxes
A rigid box uses board wrapped with printed paper. It can give a board game, puzzle or gift set a more structured presentation. Specify both the contents and the available shelf space before fixing its dimensions.
Check the inside
The insert is a separate design decision. It should hold the real parts and leave enough room to remove them. A paperboard insert can be considered where its structure and durability suit the product.
