Start with the use
A playing deck, a classroom card and a training prompt have different needs. Standard formats such as 58 × 88 mm, 65 × 100 mm and 70 × 105 mm may be useful starting points. Other sizes need a production check.
Weight is one part of the choice
Card weight, stiffness, opacity and surface finish all matter. A heavier card is not always easier to shuffle. We can discuss playing-card stock around 310 gsm or heavier printed card around 350 gsm, depending on the format and supplier specification.
Finish the deck as a system
Confirm rounded corners, printed sides, card order and box. A change in stock thickness can change the deck height and the box dimensions. Request existing production samples if you need to compare material feel.
